Have you noticed that I am all about being positive? One of the reasons for that is that there is a direct correlation between how you think & feel and what happens in your life. This connection is so strong that I can actually see the results of my attitude in my bank account balance. Picture it as 2 sides of the mirror. One one side happy vibrating Tracy says “Ahhh, business is sooo good. I can’t believe how amazing my clients are and I keep getting new ones all the time”.
On the negative side of the mirror Tracy says “Ugg, a client just left me. This is not going well and I need to make more money fast”
If you were to say these 2 things out loud each of them have an emotion attached to them. When I say the positive statement I feel happy, excited, and abundant. I already feel like I have money and awesome clients so the Universe goes perfect – you like this, you feel good let’s give you more and more. So long as I stay in that ‘abundant’ mindset and feel the Universe is more than happy to comply.
However the same is true for the negative statement. The exact same – so my vibration, words and feelings are all telling the Universe that I have no money that my clients are leaving. The Universe communicated through vibration so it’s all like “ok then, you want more sh*tty things, here you go”.
Unfortunately just telling the Universe that you want dollars and clients will not make it so, you have to switch your entire vibration, the way you feel and the way you think. It will not respond to frantic energy and pleading – in fact that will usually just make things worse.
So the trick is to change your mindset from ‘I’m surviving’ to ‘I’m thriving’. In the middle of a crap week that can be tricky. Here are 3 ways that I help to shift my focus from ‘Survive’ to ‘Thrive’ so I can stay on the right side of the mirror and keep my business and clients happy and healthy.
Sit Down and Shut the Hell Up
Like I said frantic & desperate does not translate into abundance. Sit down, meditate, do yoga, go for a run, have a long bath. Give yourself some time to get quiet. If you relax your mind and shut off the noise of the world for a little while you will be able to hear that inner voice that has the exact next step you need to be taking. Then trust your intuition and act accordingly, the important thing is that you take time to get quiet and rid yourself of that cray-cray energy.
Write down a list of 10 things you are grateful for. Your house? Your health? The few dollars you have when millions of people in the world go without? Your family or friends? Sit down and write out 10 things you are very grateful for, and it is ok if you just stare at the page for a while until your mind has calmed enough to see the light again. Then daily make a point to write down a few things you are grateful for. This simple daily exercise can change the way you look at the world, and change the things that the Universe delivers to you.
Thinking about money got you down? Um, don’t think about money then! Thinking and worrying is not bringing in dollars, so go do something productive to get you feeling better. Pretty yourself up, have a glass of wine with a friend, watch a hilarious movie. Just don’t sit and worry for the love of everything sweet. The important thing here is that if you can’t think anything nice about money/clients then don’t think anything at all. Change your vibration to positive and things will start to shift upwards and good things will come.
